In my life, I’ve learned this idea is a nearly universal human frailty – a weakness or soft spot we all share.
Just writing those words triggers a deep sigh from me. The list of things I’ve said I would do – and have left half-done or not even started, well it’s a painful list. In life outside of business and in business too, poor accountability can be a make or break a deal. It can make or break life partner relationships and business partner relationships.
Don’t worry – I won’t drone on about these lists. I only want to share my big “aha”. Accountability is the foundation, the cornerstone, of trust. With accountability and honesty, it feels like almost anything is possible.
Without it it’s tough to form a solid partnership – even with yourself! Know what I mean?
