Reunion Plus Report

Yes, it was outstanding! Spent a day in Cooperstown, NY (featuring a Baseball Hall of Fame visit, and relaxing on the patio of the fabulous historic Otesaga Hotel at Lake Otsego. Then 2 days commuting back and forth to the Colgate campus from our friend Judy Green’s farmhouse which sits on 140 acres just outside Cooperstown. Even got to meet my dear departed friend Lynn Green’s son Will who has taken over his Dad’s law practice. I hadn’t seen Will since he was about 7.

At Colgate, two afternoons included a campus tour of all that’s new with classmate and lifetime friend Steve Case and his wife Carter, and a very special time spent at the rehearsals of the 60s version of the Colgate 13 acapella vocal group — three good friends were members and all were there. They even sang Happy Birthday to me!

We could not stay for the full 3 days of Reunion because we had to hustle off to Cape Cod to meet son Ben. We found him waiting at a welcoming sidewalk cafe in Hyannis. We talked nearly non-stop, there and at our VRBO cottage nearby, until he had to head home to NY the following afternoon.

The rest of our seven Cape days were spent relaxing and visiting some local villages along the waterfront including Woods Hole and Chatham. The day before departure, we head to the Outer Cape and met another lifetime friend of mine who built a home for herself in Eastham. From there, she toured us to Wellfleet (for lobster and live music) and Provincetown!

Yes, we’re tired but happy back at home. Several important missions accomplished, and some very special connections re-established. If you have a journey like this waiting to happen in your life, don’t delay it!
